Verw.-Prof. Dr. Regina Ahlbrecht from the HAWK – University of Applied Sciences and Arts and Simone Kaiser-Sill from the logistics service provider ZUFALL logistics group play our beginner-friendly business simulation Management Essentials with students and trainees. This cooperation leads to an exciting learning experience for the participants.
Prof. Dr. Stephan Form from Hochschule Bremen plays our challenging management simulation Mastering Business Operations with bachelor students in the 7th semester. Before the students take over the management of a company, they evaluate data sets from previously completed “Mastering Business Operations” games using business intelligence tools.
Since 2011, playing our business simulation “Mastering General Management” has been an integral part of the studies for the MBA and Master students of ISC Paris. The goals of the seminar are to develop an understanding of the “big picture” and to promote communication skills in the team through playful application and specific assistance from the professor.
For many years, the University of Göttingen has been using our business simulation”Business Management”. Prof. Dr. Schumann uses our simulation to familiarize students with the various departments of a value-creating company and to promote cooperation in teams.
In the Reciprocal-Teaching-Project at the Berufsakademie Sachsens, third-semester students teach first-semester students the basics of business administration, thereby also deepening their own knowledge. The framework for this is provided by our beginner-friendly simulation Management Essentials.
Master’s students from Bielefeld UAS and TGU Istanbul play our popular management simulation Mastering General Management. Through intercultural collaboration, they gain valuable experience in the use of digital media and results-oriented communication within the teams.
In cooperation with the Hochschule Niederrhein (HSNR) in Krefeld, TOPSIM developed the management simulation Social Management – a model of a nursing home. Dipl.-Ges.oec. Heike Koß-Hülsen gives us a detailed insight into the development and current use at the HSNR.
In the summer semester of 2022, a total of 122 students from various bachelor’s degree programs at the University of Paderborn will play the competitive industrial management simulation Mastering Business Operations.
Various master programs of CBS in Mainz played TOPSIM – Scale Up and benefited from the mix of different competence profiles when participating in the simulation-based seminar.
At the KV Luzern University of Cooperative Education those who already have an education in business administration or computer science can attend the HFWI. 22 students participated in a classroom seminar with TOPSIM – Manufacturing Management. The simulation had an excellent learning effect, as it was a good mix of challenge and game.
Studying international business usually means gaining experience abroad. Unfortunately, Covid 19 changed the plans for the students at DHBW Stuttgart and their trip abroad in the fourth semester was cancelled. For this reason, the Center for Management Simulations organized a substitute for the international exchange and found it in a simulation-based seminar together with the Escuela Universitaria de Ingeniería Dual in northern Spain.
The BHAK BHAS Stegersbach offers a very special learning unit for its students: With STARTUP, the school developed its very own subject to gain basic, tangible insights into business life and to promote entrepreneurial thinking.
